White Card (Construction Induction) Course | WA

White Card training helps participants get fundamental knowledge about construction safety, including hazard identification and risk management. Mastering these basics helps minimise the likelihood of accidents and injuries on site. When workers adhere to safety practices, they ensure a secure working environment for themselves and those around them. NOTE: You MUST be located in Western Australia to enrol.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to

• ✓Introduction to Construction Work: This part of the course introduces the construction industry, highlighting the importance of safety. You'll learn about different roles on the site and what is expected from you as a worker.
• ✓Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation: In this section, we'll help participants understand the local laws, their rights, and responsibilities.

Online Trainer-led live session: ACT / TAS / WA. A 6-hour online Face-to-Face live session is conducted using MS TEAMS where theory and practical elements are covered.

• Online Trainer-led live session via MS TEAMS — 6 hours covering both theory and practical elements.

• ✓Knowledge Assessment: Demonstrate an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles and practice through quizzes (e.g. multiple-choice questions) or short answer questions.
• ✓Practical Skill Assessments (Workplace Practical Observation): During the practical exercise, students will be asked to demonstrate how to use a range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPEs include Eye protection / Safety Glasses, Hearing protection / Earmuffs, Hard hat for head protection & High visibility retro reflective vest for this part of assessment. Assessor will observe them while they demonstrate their skills.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry by email within 24 hours of completion.

A White Card will be sent to the successful candidate by post within 60 days of completion of the course. White cards do not have expiry date as long as you work in the construction industry. However, if you do not work in construction industry for 24 months or more, you have to renew the card.
